COTS technology

By using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology, bluebox can be certified for use inflight as aPED device – requiring only an STC and not OEM certification, so reducing its certification time from years to months.

seatback or handheld

bluebox is a fully integrated seatback IFE system. but it is also available in a handheld iteration, simply by using the same core piece of technology fixed into seatback version, and moving content on to its internal hard drive. Which means that bluebox is the only IFE system able to offer a vertically integrated solution - take bluebox onboard as a handheld version, then, when aircraft downtime allows, move the core units into a seatback mount.
